Each "Bug" features wings made from strong, reinforced hollow polymer, designed like temple blocks, and equipped with notches to create a sensory, ridged surface. As idiophones, they produce sound through the instrument's vibration, with each block's internal space serving as a resonating chamber. When you strike these colorful blocks with a mallet, they generate a fun, loud, echoing sound. Additionally, you can scrape the mallet along the notches to create a ratchet sound similar to that of a güiro. Bug Beats can be mounted on a stainless-steel post or installed using fittings that can be retrofitted to our existing instruments, play equipment, fences, or walls.
